Job Description:
  • As a team member of the Nike Product team, supporting the needs of Nike’s product planning, and analytics systems, this role, will build and leverage partnerships with business and technology teams to develop a comprehensive understanding of the data and information needs from both a functional and technical perspective to design, develop, and build solutions to meet the data and information needs of the business. 
Scope and Responsibilities:
  • Conduct interviews and work sessions with business partners and technical team members to clarify business and functional requirements, information and data definitions, and current and future processes.
  • Develop a clear understanding of the requirements from a technical perspective including integration requirements, migration strategy, data model changes, reporting, and other requirements for data design and the visual representation of data and information.
  • Aid in the creation of data models (conceptual, logical, and physical) and associated documents.
  • Create context diagrams and associated systems process models to aid in clarity.
  • Create high level migration and integration specifications.
  • Work closely with all team members to ensure that all data, information, and integration requirements are clearly understood and resolve any conflicts.
  • Ensure scope clarity and timely issue escalation.
  • Query, profile, and summarize data to help validate designs, inform decision-making, and identify data quality issues.
  • Research, collect, and maintain data lineage information to understand data dependencies throughout the enterprise.
  • Evaluate how effectively information is meeting business requirements at key points in Nike’s business process and recommendations for improving effectiveness. 
  • Design, develop, and build the technical solution using the appropriate tools.
  • Create technical specifications to meet the requirements of the design.
  • Partner with engineers across the organization to build integrated solutions.
  • Assist with test planning and execution for new and modified processes.
  • Aid in creating build plans and participate in integrated testing as needed.
  • Participate in innovation for data solutions, reference architecture, and industry standards.
  • Monitor database and integration performance.
  • Aid in the planning of database and server infrastructure.
  • Communicate consistently and clearly to all team members where needed to ensure requirements are understood, questions are answered, issues are raised and solutions are delivered effectively and efficiently     
Key Deliverables Associated with this role:
  • Business Requirements Documents,  Engineering development, Functional Specifications       , Data Quality Analysis (Reconciliation), Technical Specifications, Knowledge Transfer, documentsSource, Target Mappings
Necessary Skill:
  • 6+ years PL/SQL on Oracle 11g or higher
  • 2+ years on Oracle Apex
  • 2+ years Python and/or Java
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent analysis and problem solving skills
  • Strong meeting and work session facilitation skills
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Proven ability to adapt to new technologies and tools, changing needs, processes, and ambiguity.
  • 5+ years in information technology.
  • 3+ years system integration analysis and design
  • Expert SQL skill level
  • Basic Unix/Linux shell scripting.
  • 2+ years using Microsoft tools (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Visio)
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science or equivalent 
Additional Skills:
  • Experience with big data.
  • Experience implementing and working with ETL Tools such as Informatica and Fusion.
  • Experience with scheduling tools such as Airflow, Autosys.
  • Experience with JSON, Web Services
  • Experience using version control for source code (GIT)
  • Knowledge of Product Master Data in the Apparel/Footwear/Fashion industry.
  • Prior Nike experience.
