Overview:
As the Architect for CBMS, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that technology aligns seamlessly with CBMS's vision and objectives. Your primary responsibility will be to craft an architectural landscape that not only supports but enhances CBMS's operational outcomes. This involves focusing on system qualities such as security, resiliency, availability, and adaptability to change. You'll oversee the design of technology stacks for CBMS applications, enabling better outcomes and enhancing the overall architectural posture.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess the current architecture and define its future state, along with a roadmap to support CBMS operations and technology objectives.
  • Address technical debt and streamline the technology footprint to improve efficiency.
  • Evolve architecture models, patterns, and guidelines to ensure consistency and standardization in solutions.
  • Collaborate with vendors to develop and implement specific aspects of software and architecture solutions, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and compatibility with existing systems.
  • Establish and enforce architecture governance processes, fostering engagement and compliance.
  • Provide leadership and expertise to meet functional and nonfunctional requirements in alignment with strategic goals.
  • Oversee all architecture changes for compliance with standards and alignment with guidelines.
  • Develop key deliverables including System Architecture Documents, architecture views, technology plans, and security frameworks.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership, architects, tech leads, developers, and project managers to ensure timely and high quality delivery of product features.
  • Understand and communicate CBMS operational goals to agency and technology leadership.

Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of experience leading software development teams across multiple platforms with agile process management skills.
  • 5+ years of experience managing large and complex projects with multiple dependencies.
  • 2+ years of experience with SOAP/REST Web Services.
  • Experience in public sector, Human Services, and Benefits Management preferred.
  • Modernization experience using MuleSoft platform is advantageous.

Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in leading globally distributed, remote, Mainframe, Distributed, and Cloud technology teams with a focus on high availability and reliability.
  • Strong technology acumen with attention to detail and strategic goal alignment.
  • In depth knowledge of SDLC, CI/CD, Process Engineering, IT/software technology trends, and domain specific expertise.
  • Experience with Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), Enterprise Architecture frameworks (TOGAF), Software Architecture, and Design Patterns.
  • Familiarity with Java, middleware, operating systems, databases, networking, and security.
  • Experience in leading organizational acquisitions and legacy technology stacks is a plus.

Skills:
  • Enterprise Architecture proficiency, familiarity with TOGAF.
  • Cloud platform expertise (AWS/Azure/GCP).
  • Strong grasp of Software Architecture principles.
  • Understanding of Architecture Models and Patterns (e.g., ADRMVC, SOA, Microservices).
  • Proficiency in Software Development methodologies (SDLC/Agile).
  • Knowledge of Design Patterns (Domain specific/Creational/Structural/Behavioral patterns).
