Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Accounting & Financial Reporting Specialist to join our team in the Client. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely recording of transactions. This role requires strong accounting, financial reporting, and analytical skills, as well as the ability to work in a team-oriented environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review journal entries.
- Reconcile and analyze general ledger accounts.
- Conduct account analysis and provide explanations for significant variances.
- Assist in the audit of the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR), including preparing client documentation and supporting the audit process.
- Contribute to the preparation of the DOA’s ACFR, monthly and quarterly financial reports, and internal management reports.
- Research and implement new accounting pronouncements.
- Perform other duties as required.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Excel, including Pivot Tables and data management.
- Familiarity with financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting applications.
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and reporting skills.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA certification is preferred but not required.
