Warehouse Support Technician

Role: Warehouse Support Technician

Duration: 9 Months Contract (permanent extension depending on performance)
Schedule: On-Site at the APS Warehouse, typically M-F, 8am–5pm (hours may vary)
Location: Atlanta, GA

Key Skills: Parts management, inventory tracking, troubleshooting, proactive maintenance, and customer support

Job Description:
Provide logistical support to IT techs and SMEs for APS schools and administrative locations.
Reports To: APS Asset Lead
Key Attributes:
  • Detail-oriented, able to meet deadlines, excellent communication.
  • Positive team player with a desire to learn.
  • Education/Training: Equivalent education and experience considered.
Candidate Must Have:
  • A+ Certification: Proficient (4-6 Years)
  • Best Practice Security Standards and Techniques: Proficient (4-6 Years)
  • Microsoft Windows Certification: Proficient (4-6 Years)
  • Customer Service Skills: Advanced (7-9 Years)
  • Minimum Work Experience: Proficient (4-6 Years)
  • Communication Skills (Verbal and Written): Advanced (7-9 Years)

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage parts requests and inventory.
  • Pickup obsolete equipment.
  • Track and update APS assets.
  • Install Apple apps, troubleshoot minor issues, and escalate major problems.
  • Perform proactive maintenance and support tasks.
  • Ensure software updates and antivirus installations.
  • Document work and follow processes.
  • Contract: Initial 2 weeks temporary, then permanent, with annual extension based on performance.

Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience (5+ for Lead Techs).
  • A+ Certification (Lead Techs only).
  • Strong customer service skills and security knowledge.
  • Microsoft Windows certification a plus.
  • Clean criminal record, valid driver’s license, U.S. work authorization.
