Job Title: IT Resilience Manager Duration: 6 Months (Contract) W2 Location: Aurora, CO (On-Site)
Position Overview:
Client is seeking an IT Disaster Recovery Specialist to lead the assessment, planning, implementation, and continuous improvement of a comprehensive IT Disaster Response Plan. The selected candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the resilience and continuity of IT infrastructure in the face of various threats including cyberattacks, natural disasters, and system failures.
Key Responsibilities: 1. Assessment of Current IT Infrastructure:
Conduct an in-depth analysis of existing IT systems, processes, and potential vulnerabilities.
Identify and document critical IT assets and operations that require protection during a disaster scenario.
2. Risk Analysis:
Perform comprehensive risk assessments to identify threats such as natural disasters, cyber incidents, and hardware failures.
Recommend mitigation strategies, highlighting any existing measures established at the client level.
3. Development of Disaster Response Plan:
Design a customized IT Disaster Response Plan aligned with client’s operational needs and risk profile.
Include emergency communication protocols, data backup and restoration procedures, staff responsibilities, and escalation paths.
4. Implementation and Testing:
Deploy the approved disaster response plan within IT environment.
Coordinate and execute simulations and drills to test the plan’s functionality and efficacy, refining as needed.
5. Training and Documentation:
Provide targeted training for staff and stakeholders on disaster recovery protocols.
Deliver clear, comprehensive documentation, including user manuals, operational guidelines, and execution workflows.
6. Ongoing Support and Maintenance:
Offer post-implementation support to maintain and enhance the disaster recovery plan.
Conduct periodic audits and reviews to ensure the plan adapts to evolving IT infrastructure and emerging risks.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in IT disaster recovery, business continuity planning, or IT risk management.
Proficiency in disaster recovery tools, frameworks, and risk assessment methodologies.
Experience working within educational or public sector environments preferred.
Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Preferred Certifications:
Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP)
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
