Job description: Seeking an experienced Database Analyst to support the implementation of a modern IT Service Management (ITSM) and Asset Management (ITAM) system using Ivanti ITSM and Neurons. The role focuses on migrating and normalizing legacy asset and purchasing data, supporting CMDB design, and enabling automation and reporting within Ivanti.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and manage relational data models for IT asset and configuration item tracking.
Translate legacy manual and spreadsheet-based processes into structured datasets.
Support CMDB design, data migration (ETL), cleansing, and validation activities.
Map and import hardware, software, vendor, financial, and procurement data into Ivanti.
Integrate with procurement and inventory systems and automated discovery tools.
Ensure data accuracy, normalization, and compliance with IT governance standards.
Document schema, data dictionaries, mapping logic, and provide knowledge transfer.
Required Skills & Experience:
Proven experience migrating ITAM/CMDB data to Ivanti ITSM and Neurons.
Advanced skills in SQL (MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL), Microsoft Access, and database design.
Strong experience in data modeling, cleansing, ETL, and legacy data mapping.
Familiarity with CA APM, CMDB structures, and public sector IT environments.
Working knowledge of ITIL (v4 preferred), especially asset and configuration management.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
Experience with automated discovery tools and line-item procurement workflows.
Prior work with CA SDM or in government modernization projects.
Education /Certifications:
Bachelor’s in IT related field, or equivalent experience/certifications (e.g., SQL, Oracle, ITIL).
Remote or hybrid work option available.
Candidate must provide their own equipment and be U.S.-based.
Must be available during normal business hours and complete remote onboarding.
