Role: Lead Network Engineer

Description:
- Network Lead will serve as a Lead engineer for the Networking Team.
- The Network Lead is responsible for leading a team of network engineers, and day-to-day operational activities and initiatives aligned to the organization goals and expectations.
- Network Lead will play a key role as a liaison between the network team, business units, and the organization's management, ensuring that technology initiatives contribute to the overall success of the organization mission and core values.
- Works closely with Network Manager or IT Director to plan for and execute directives and organizational strategies.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Strategic IT Planning: Assist with the development and implementation long-term IT strategies aligned with the organization's goals and objectives. Collaborate with other leads to identify technology needs, evaluate emerging technologies, and propose innovative solutions to enhance business operations.
- Team Lead: Serve as a lead for the network team by fostering a collaborative and productive work environment, ensuring the team operates efficiently and delivers high-quality results. Mentor and cross train other network engineers.
- Project Management: Responsible for collaborating with PMO office in resource allocation, task execution, and successful delivery of IT projects. Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and escalate as deemed necessary.
- Budgeting: Assist with the development of the discipline area budget by analyzing cost-saving opportunities, recommending solutions, and optimizing spending on hardware, software, and services.
- IT Infrastructure and Operations: Ensure the stability, security, and scalability of the organization network infrastructure, including day to day operations, system maintenance, and disaster recovery planning to guarantee continuous operations and data protection.
- Information Security: Collaborate with Security Team to identify and enforce robust security measures to safeguard sensitive data, systems, and networks from internal and external threats. Stay up to date with the latest security trends and standards, ensuring network compliance with industry regulations.
- Vendor Management: Establish and maintain relationships with technology vendors and service providers. Assist senior leadership decision making by reviewing service level agreements (SLAs), and monitoring vendor performance to ensure service quality and cost-effectiveness.
- User Support and Training: Coordinate user support services, addressing technical issues, and providing timely solutions. Assist in identify training programs required or necessary to enhance employees' IT skills and promote efficient technology usage.
- IT Policies and Procedures: Assist with the development and enforcement of IT policies and procedures to maintain consistency and adherence to best practices.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization within the IT department. Collaborate w/ IT Managers to regularly assess the effectiveness of IT initiatives and implement changes to enhance efficiency and user satisfaction.
