Role: Business Analyst - Workday
Duration: 6+ Months Contract (W2)
Location: Portland, OR (Hybrid)

Responsibilities:
Workday Implementation & Support
- Serve as a functional analyst for one or more Workday modules, including Core HCM, Recruiting, Talent, Learning, Performance, Succession, and Help/Today.
- Partner with HR and IT teams to analyze, design, test, and implement new Workday features and enhancements.
- Translate business requirements into functional design documents and system configurations.
- Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT), prepare test scripts, and ensure issues are documented and resolved.
- Support system integrations between Workday and other enterprise applications.
Business Analysis & Process Improvement
- Lead requirements gathering workshops and map current vs. future HR processes.
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and automate manual processes within Workday.
- Support data analysis and reporting using Workday’s reporting tools and dashboards.
- Collaborate on change management strategies to ensure smooth adoption of new systems and processes.
Stakeholder Management
- Partner with HR business owners, IT developers, and external vendors to manage project timelines and deliverables.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, ensuring transparency and alignment.
- Provide end-user support, create training documentation, and lead knowledge transfer sessions.
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Human Resources, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst supporting HR technology implementations.
- Hands-on experience with Workday HCM (preferably in implementation or optimization phases).
- Strong understanding of HR processes, including recruiting, onboarding, performance, and learning.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (Workday Report Writer, Prism, or similar).
- Demonstrated experience in Agile methodologies and iterative project delivery.
Preferred
- Workday certification in one or more modules (HCM, Recruiting, or Talent).
- Experience in utilities or energy industry or similar regulated environments.
- Proven experience with change management and process reengineering.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong emotional intelligence and ability to work cross-functionally in a collaborative environment.
