Job Description:
The Workday Analyst will support and enhance Workday HR systems by managing configurations, testing updates, and ensuring successful deployment of new features. The role involves partnering with HR and IT to optimize system functionality, improve process efficiency, and deliver high-quality data and reports across multiple HR modules.

Responsibilities:
Workday Configuration & Support

  • Configure and maintain Workday modules such as Core HCM, Recruiting, Talent, Learning, Performance, Succession, and Help/Today.
  • Analyze, design, test, and implement system updates and enhancements.
  • Translate functional requirements into configuration specifications.
  • Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT), manage defect resolution, and maintain documentation.
  • Support system integrations with other enterprise platforms.
System Optimization & Reporting
  • Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities within Workday.
  • Develop and maintain Workday reports, dashboards, and analytics using tools like Report Writer and Prism.
  • Troubleshoot issues, monitor data integrity, and ensure system reliability and compliance.
  • Ensure data quality and consistency through monitoring, validation, and cleanup efforts.
  • Collaborate with business owners to enhance reporting capabilities and deliver insights.
Collaboration & Communication
  • Partner with HR, IT, and vendors to manage project deliverables, test plans, and release cycles.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure alignment on requirements and outcomes.
  • Provide end-user support, training materials, and conduct system walkthroughs as needed.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, HR, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 3 years of Workday configuration and support experience.
  • Strong understanding of HR processes including recruiting, onboarding, performance, and learning.
  • Hands-on experience with Workday Report Writer, EIBs, and security configurations.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodology and iterative project delivery.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Workday certification in one or more modules (HCM, Recruiting, Talent).
  • Experience working in utilities, energy, or other regulated industries.
  • Background in process reengineering, testing coordination, and change management.
  • Strong documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
