Role: Permit Coordinator
Duration: 12 Months (Contract)
Location: Wilsonville, OR (On-Site – 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM)
Key Skills:
- Utility Permitting & Regulatory Compliance: Deep knowledge of local laws regarding utility construction, right-of-way, and environmental or municipal permits.
- Electrical Distribution Systems: Understanding construction processes, design sketches, and how power grid infrastructure operates.
- Project Coordination & Leadership: Managing timelines, assigning tasks to team members, and ensuring permit approvals align with construction schedules.
- Outage Risk Management: Analyzing how planned power outages impact customers and coordinating multi-department communications to mitigate risks.
- Process Improvement: Documenting workflow steps, identifying bottlenecks, and designing new processes to increase efficiency.

- Exetremely detail oriented, organized and focuesed
- Clear communicator, great grammer (email, phone calls, etc.)
- Must be comfortable with technology - this is fully a computer role, and on average will use between 10-15 different applications throughout the day to be successful the WO creation task.

Job description:
- Requires expertise in a variety of work processes through a combination of job-related training and considerable on-the-job experience
- Typically acts as a lead, coordinating the work of others, but not a supervisor
- Works autonomously within established procedures and practices
- May assign permitting tasks to other team members. Analyzes permitting requirements for complex jobs. Determines permitting required and coordinates permitting process, ensuring timing meets business objectives. Collaborates with others to schedule work to ensure permits are complete.
- Monitors permitting process and troubleshoots and resolves issues.
- Creates and sends notifications to meet regulatory requirements.
- Identifies impact of planned outages on customers. Performs quality control on list of customers for outages and notify other departments of potential risks.
- Creates, updates and monitors design work orders in accordance with established procedures. Resolves or escalates potential issues.
- Designs new processes. Develops and maintains documented processes and implements process improvements
- Serves as a subject matter expert to other employees. May provide training, coaching and feedback.

Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Preferred: 3-5 or more years in related field.
