Job Description

We are seeking an experienced MS SQL ETL Developer - Tableau to support enterprise application modernization, reporting, data integration, and database development initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience developing Tableau reports, building and optimizing SQL queries, maintaining ETL solutions, and supporting data migration from legacy systems to modern applications.

This role requires collaboration with business analysts, technical teams, and system integrators throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, deploy, and maintain Tableau reports and dashboards.

  • Develop complex SQL queries, T-SQL scripts, stored procedures, and triggers.

  • Design and implement ETL/ELT solutions for data ingestion, cleansing, transformation, validation, and distribution.

  • Develop, deploy, maintain, and optimize SSIS packages and ETL workflows.

  • Work with relational databases, including SQL Server, DB2, and other database platforms.

  • Assist with database architecture, data marts, data dictionaries, and logical and physical data models.

  • Implement data quality, data reconciliation, and discrepancy-resolution processes.

  • Support legacy data migration, conversion, and integration with modern applications.

  • Optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, ETL execution, and data-loading performance.

  • Deploy SSIS packages using Git, environment variables, and SQL Server Agent jobs.

  • Implement secure file transfers using FTP/SFTP.

  • Develop advanced reports featuring dynamic grouping, sorting, drill-down functionality, subreports, cross-tab reports, and summary reporting.

  • Support SSRS reporting and SOA integration initiatives.

  • Collaborate with business analysts and end users to gather, validate, and document requirements.

  • Participate in SDLC activities, including design, development, testing, troubleshooting, deployment, and maintenance.

  • Validate data flows, implement error handling, and maintain technical documentation.

  • Apply best practices in data modeling, ETL pipelines, and near-real-time data processing.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of relevant IT experience.

  • 5+ years of hands-on Tableau development experience.

  • 5+ years of experience writing complex SQL queries.

  • 5+ years of experience with T-SQL, SSRS, SSIS, or Talend.

  • Strong expertise in SQL Server, stored procedures, and query optimization.

  • Experience developing, deploying, and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines.

  • Experience with data integration, transformation, migration, and reconciliation.

  • Experience deploying SSIS packages using Git, environment variables, and SQL Server Agent.

  • Knowledge of relational databases and database architecture.

  • Experience with version control tools such as Team Foundation Server (TFS).

  • Strong debugging, analytical, and performance-tuning skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.

  • Experience with Salesforce.

  • Experience with MuleSoft.

  • Experience with DB2.

  • Experience with enterprise application modernization.

  • Experience with large-scale data migration and integration projects.
