Key Responsibilities
- Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments.
- Register patients and maintain accurate demographic information.
- Perform patient check-in and check-out processes.
- Make appointment reminder and follow-up calls.
- Review documentation to determine eligibility for federal and state programs.
- Enter and maintain patient information in health management systems and electronic dental records.
- Coordinate referrals and assist with prior authorizations as required.
- Process insurance documentation and obtain necessary approvals before services are rendered.
- Scan, index, and maintain electronic dental records.
- Balance the daily cash drawer and ensure accurate financial processing.
- Educate patients on program rights and responsibilities.
- Prepare required documentation to support efficient clinic workflow.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and comply with healthcare regulations.
- Foster a positive, professional, and collaborative work environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum 2 years of customer service, administrative, clerical, or office support experience.
- Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
- Experience working with multiple computer applications and electronic record systems.
- Current valid driver's license.
- Ability to pass a Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) background check.

- Active Tennessee Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license.
- Previous dental front office experience.

- Ability to assist chairside during emergencies or staffing shortages.
