Job Title: Adolescent Health Program Coordinator
Duration: Contract – 9 Months (7.5 hours/day, 37.5 hours/week)
Location: Nashville, TN (Hybrid)
Job Description
Our Client is seeking an experienced Adolescent Health Program Coordinator to provide statewide leadership for adolescent health initiatives focused on improving the health and well-being of Tennessee youth. The position will lead the planning, implementation, coordination, and evaluation of adolescent health programs while collaborating with schools, healthcare providers, community organizations, youth-serving agencies, and adolescents.
The coordinator will serve as a subject-matter expert in adolescent health and positive youth development and will lead strategic planning, statewide program initiatives, youth engagement, partnerships, grant activities, technical assistance, training, and data-informed program improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of statewide adolescent health strategic plans and initiatives.
- Manage adolescent health programs and community-based initiatives from planning through evaluation.
- Coordinate youth-focused programs, including suicide prevention and healthy technology-use initiatives.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with schools, healthcare providers, community organizations, and youth-serving agencies.
- Coordinate youth advisory groups, focus groups, and other youth engagement activities.
- Incorporate youth perspectives into program planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Support maternal and child health initiatives related to social and emotional well-being.
- Identify emerging adolescent health needs and develop strategies addressing positive youth development, healthy relationships, sexual health, pregnancy prevention, dating violence prevention, nutrition, and physical activity.
- Provide technical assistance, consultation, and training to internal and external partners.
- Monitor program performance, analyze data, evaluate outcomes, and support continuous improvement.
- Develop grant applications, progress reports, presentations, and state/federal reports.
- Represent the organization at statewide and national committees, conferences, workgroups, and collaborative initiatives.
- Manage multiple projects, timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communications.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Health Education, Social Work, Behavioral Science, Education, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in adolescent health, public health, program management, strategic planning, or a related field.
- Experience developing, implementing, managing, and evaluating public health programs or initiatives.
- Experience with strategic planning, grant management, program evaluation, and performance measurement.
- Experience working with adolescents, schools, healthcare providers, or youth-serving organizations preferred.
- Strong partnership-building, communication, facilitation, presentation, and technical writing skills.
- Strong organizational, analytical, critical thinking, and project management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and collaboratively.
- State government or statewide initiative experience is a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
