Job Title: Data Architect / Principal Information
Duration: 12 months (contract) expected to be on-site once campus reopens
Location: Beaverton, OR

Desired Skills: Hands on with enterprise cloud/virtual architectures like AWS, Microsoft Azure, Open Stack, JIE, Tableau, Cognos, Power BI Analytics AI ML tooling and framework Sage Maker thru AWS
Required Skills: Business Process Management PEGA (Java, OOP), RPA,AirFLow, AI ML data and information architecture, including experience with Big Data, Relational databases, bi-furcation (for near real time streaming) and batch data processing

Job Description:
Our direct client is seeking a highly qualified Data Architect to provide leadership in architectural planning and solution delivery across multiple domains/ solution areas, contributing to the future success of the business through innovations in technology.
The ideal candidate for this role will have a passion for all things data and analytics and a unique ability to provide strategic advantage for steering opportunity identification and analysis, problem definition, and overseeing the development and deployment of advanced information and data design practices within the client’s Enterprise Architecture organization.
 
Job Responsibilities:
Designs, develops and manages activities for a specific product or group of products from product definition and planning through production, release, and end of life. Serves as the central resource with design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing as the product(s) move to production and distribution. Involvement lasts throughout all stages of a product’s lifecycle including modifications, upgrades and maintenance of the product or product line.
Partner and engage with multiple data engineering squads and their leadership to align on platform-centric roadmap and requirements that will support thousands of data engineers and data scientists
Work closely with engineering leadership, product leadership, architects, and program to develop and contribute to foundational platform roadmaps
Collaborate with Principal Engineers and Principal Architects to develop tools and frameworks for improving security, reliability, maintainability, availability, scalability, self-serviceability, and performance of your platform’s foundationOwn information design through conceptual data models and align and review logical data models, API definitions and analytical data products for consistency and completeness.
Drive Information Interaction Framework for collaborating/sharing information across business capabilities and functions
Analyze and influence end-to-end data and integration design for key business domains
Architect and design solutions for data quality, reliability and data governance
Embrace and influence technology platform thinking and drive architecture principles of security, scale, uptime and reliability
Contribute to and implement the architecture strategy for enterprise information and data management
Partner with business and enterprise data leaders to provide technical advice on data governance, data quality and stewardship
Guide and mentor engineering teams to raise collective technical expertise
Demonstrate a strong bias for architecture principles balanced with tactical timelines, cost and risks
Contribute to architecture guiding principles, development standards, training and hiring
 
Education and Qualifications Required:
Degrees required for this job: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or another relevant subject
AND
Clear, concise communications and being able to translate technical jargon into business understandings
Work in highly matrixed, complex environments with multiple stakeholders
Individual who can drive project decisions and navigate technical issues across multiple teams
6+ years providing design leadership to technical, business & cross-functional teams
8+ years in hands-on experience in data analysis, modeling, data engineering, or analytics
Strong understanding of data and information architecture, including experience with Big Data, Relational databases, streaming and batch data processing
Strong experience building end-to-end data view with focus on integration
A solid understanding and experience with data APIs, data warehousing, reporting and analytics platforms
Experience implementing data management solutions for non-technical data stewards and business owners
Familiarity with enterprise cloud/virtual architectures like AWS, Microsoft Azure, Open Stack, JIE, etc.
Proven track record of leading within complex organizations requiring strong influence management skills - ability to work cooperatively at all levels in matrix environment
Exceptional collaboration, listening, written and verbal communication skills with ability to facilitate technology strategy, requirements and architecture conversations with all stakeholders (management, business users, and technology resources)
